NZeTA First-Time Visitor

If you are a first-time visitor to New Zealand, you will need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (eTA) before your trip. The eTA is an electronic visa that allows you to enter New Zealand for a short stay of up to 90 days for tourist or business purposes.

Here are the steps to apply for a New Zealand eTA as a first-time visitor:

  1. Go to the official eTA website of New Zealand:
  2. Click on the “Apply for an eTA” button.
  3. Fill out the online application form with your personal and passport details.
  4. Upload a digital passport-sized photograph.
  5. Pay the eTA fee using a credit or debit card.
  6. Wait for the eTA to be processed, which usually takes a few minutes.
  7. Check your email for the approval status of your eTA. If approved, you can download and print a copy of your eTA for your records.

Note: It’s important to make sure that your passport is valid for at least three months from the date of entry into New Zealand and that you have enough blank pages for entry and exit stamps. Also, double-check the requirements and restrictions for your country of origin and the purpose of your visit before applying for an eTA.
